Murat Kemahlioglu

Murat Kemahlioglu heads Citi’s Global Spread Product Portfolio Trading business in the US. His team’s responsibilities include portfolio pricing, risk management, ETF creation/redemption strategies across US IG and HY corporate credit, Emerging market credit, Municipals and Mortgages. Murat believes that the future of the portfolio trading business relies on maximizing synergies with algorithmic/electronic market making, fixed income ETF secondary/primary trading and institutional block trading. Murat previously worked as a partner at Whitehaven Asset Management, a 1 bn+ AUM credit-oriented hedge fund where his responsibilities included investment strategy, portfolio construction, risk-management and execution across municipal and emerging market credits. Prior to Whitehaven, Murat worked at Citi from 2010 to 2018, where he had various trading roles including heading Cit’s municipal derivatives business, and market making in municipal high grade, high yield cash and equity derivatives. Murat graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brandeis University with bachelor's degrees in in Mathematics and Economics. He lives in New York with his family and enjoys tennis and backgammon.
