Morten Olsen is Head of Customized Fixed Income at Northern Trust Asset Management. In this capacity Mr. Olsen oversee a number of businesses within the global investment team, including Municipal Bonds, Ultra Short Fixed Income and Cross-over strategies. With a focus on creating customized solutions for clients across Asset Management, Global Family Offices and Wealth Management Mr. Olsen is an integral part of the continued growth of the overall investment business. Having joined Northern Trust in 2009 Morten has throughout his career held investment leadership positions, most recently serving as the chief of staff for Global Fixed Income. Prior to this role Mr. Olsen served as head of multi-sector portfolio management and director of the ultra-short fixed income group. In both capacities, Morten managed separately managed accounts for taxable and tax-exempt mandates, as well as mutual funds. Morten is a portfolio manager on several mutual funds, notably including both taxable and tax-exempt ultra-short funds. Prior to joining Northern Trust Morten spent time at Nomura and Lehman Brothers. Mr. Olsen received his B.S. in Economics and a M.S. in Economics at University of Copenhagen and has more than 20 years of investment experience in fixed income asset management
