Manuel Ballesteros Davo

Mr. Ballesteros is a Co-Founder of Cicada. Cicada is a financial technology company that operates the first-ever all-to-all electronic trading platform for local-currency emerging markets fixed-income. Cicada allows fixed-income sell-side professionals to electronically execute larger volumes of automated flow, while at the same time creating an efficient execution environment where buy-side fixed-income professionals can achieve best execution. Through Cicada, institutions are allowed to trade between and among each other, without the need of a pre-existing trading relationship, in ways that maximize liquidity. Mr. Ballesteros is a seasoned trader with more than 20 years’ experience in the Mexican fixed income market space. During this time, he opened the Mexican Peso trading desk of BCP in partnership with Hector Rangel-Domene. Prior to joining BCP, Manuel served as Director at Crédit Agricole in New York, where he oversaw Institutional Sales for Latam accounts. In addition to being part of Cicada’s founding team, Manuel currently serves as Managing Partner and Head Trader of BCP Securities for Peso trading.
