Ian McGuinn

Ian McGuinn is a member of Jane Street's crypto team, and has been involved with it since it launched in 2017. In this role, Ian has helped the crypto desk build its trading business and broader development of the crypto ecosystem. Ian joined Jane Street in 2016, and before focusing on the crypto business he worked on a variety of other global projects, including establishing trading capabilities in domestic China and India markets as well as the firm's Brexit response in London and Amsterdam. Before Jane Street, Ian was a Managing Director in the hedge fund division at The Carlyle Group, and previously he spent seven years building businesses in Asia. Ian holds a Masters in International Relations from The Fletcher School and a BA from Middlebury College.
