Eddie Wen is a Managing Director and the Global Head of Digital Markets at J.P. Morgan, a position he has held since 2018. Eddie is a passionate advocate for technology-driven transformation in financial markets, with a particular focus on harnessing the power of data and artificial intelligence (AI) to drive innovation and deliver best-in-class digital services. He leads the firm's strategy for business automation and the electronification of trading, overseeing initiatives that are reshaping market structure and enabling business transformation across a wide range of trading businesses. In 2026, Eddie's responsibilities expanded to include the Corporate and Investment Bank's Data Strategy and Data Commercialization.
Eddie's commitment to leveraging advanced technology, data analytics, and AI has positioned J.P. Morgan at the forefront of digital evolution in Markets. Under his leadership, the Digital Markets group is pioneering new approaches to investment, market structure, and operational efficiency, ensuring the firm remains agile and competitive in a rapidly changing landscape.
Prior to his current role, Eddie led Macro e-Commerce, managing electronic trading for the Foreign Exchange, Interest Rates, and Commodities asset classes. Before joining J.P. Morgan in 2006, he ran Quantitative Algorithmic Trading Strategies in Foreign Exchange at Goldman Sachs.
Eddie holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Stanford University and an undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley. He currently serves on the boards of FMX, Capitolis, and Symphony Communications Inc., and has previously served on the boards of CLS Group, FXSpotStream, and FXALL.
