Chad Hummel, CAIA, Executive Director, is a member of J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Institutional ETF Sales Team, focusing on the provision of ETF and index-based solutions on a cross-asset and multi-strategy basis to global asset managers and asset owners on the Eastern & Midwest Regions of the US. In a prior role, Mr. Hummel led FICC ETF Solution Sales within Bank of America’s Fixed income Sales & Trading business where he focused his commercial efforts on globally expanding the bank’s ETF trading relationships with institutional clients. Before Bank of America, Mr. Hummel worked at BlackRock for over 10 years largely within the ETF & Index business where we covered global asset manager, OCIO, hedge fund, fund-of-funds, and family office clients. He helped create and implement the firm’s commercial Fixed Income ETF client strategy to drive adoption of new and existing products within the asset manager client segment as well as selling various multi-asset strategies. Earlier, he was a member of the BlackRock Solutions Business Development team, working with prospective institutional clients to assess their needs and determine appropriate risk reporting, analytics, and investment platform solutions via BlackRock’s Aladdin platform. Mr. Hummel began his career at Liquidnet, an institutional crossing and algorithmic trading platform, where he was a member of the Corporate Strategy team, advising on strategic capital markets initiatives, market structure, and new ventures to the firm’s executive team. He earned a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA), Cum Laude, in Finance (with International Emphasis) from The College of William & Mary and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with Dean’s Honors from Columbia Business School. Chad also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
