Alex Sedgwick serves as Head of Municipal and Fixed Income Primary Markets for the Americas at S&P Global, where he leads commercial strategy and drives innovation in electronification, data utilization, and global expansion. With more than two decades of experience spanning primary markets, electronic trading, multi-asset analytics, and capital markets regulation, Alex brings deep expertise in both fixed income and municipal markets.

Prior to joining S&P Global, Alex was Global Head of Data & Analytics Sales at Trading Technologies, and has held senior leadership roles at T. Rowe Price and MarketAxess. Throughout his career, Alex has been recognized for industry thought leadership, having testified before the US House of Representatives and the SEC’s Fixed Income Market Structure Advisory Committee, chaired key industry roundtables, and contributed to regulatory and public policy initiatives in both the United States and Europe.

Alex holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and Series 7/63 licenses, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Washington and Lee University.
